This is extremely revealing about the lack of reality among the too-far right wing.
The say what they know they must say.
Even if she's not the best exponent of their beliefs, they agree with her general political outlook. And that counts for a great deal.
If Biden had lost the debate, I don't think there would have been a big shift in the Republican or Democratic numbers there. The main shift would be the independents. One thing to note from the republicans here though. Around a quarter of them thought Biden won on the issue of taxes. Taxes are usually one of the most important issue for republicans, and unless there is a major terror attack this month, economic issues will decide this election.
