Like his father, this Bush has said he wanted to be known as an "education president." You know: "No child left behind!" Well, I came upon this statistic this week:

ONLY 3% OF STUDENTS at the top 146 colleges come from families in the bottom income quartile; only 10% come from the bottom half..

Does this mean that in the wake of the Bush era, when struggling governments at both state and federal levels have slashed student aid, we are actually wandering farther away from the goal of a quality education for all qualified students? Looks like it.

There are just so many many reasons to dislike this so-called compassionate Bush person. And his enablers.
