GOD --NOT THE DEVIL -- IS IN THE DETAILS

GOD, THE WATCHMAKER

For an interesting Creationist view of how the universe got put together, depending heavily on an analogy that anyone can understand, go look here: WINDING UP

Apology:
When I moved this post back to the top of the blog, I lost a comment left by Jim. I valued that comment, but I cannot retrieve it now. I apologize for this blunder.

This is 18th century Deism. Thomas Jefferson would approve.

BTW, why are there mosquitos?

I remain convinced that the flying spaghetti monster is the watchmaker. Who will prove me wrong?

Jesus Christ, I have had it up to here with people who haven't even made it to the 20th century as far as their understanding of physics goes. Instead of learning they cover their ignorance with sophistry.

It looks to me like this thing accepts evolution while pretending not to. This is what has to happen. They have to stop pretending that evolution doesn't exist. They have to find a way for God to coexist with it.

1. RE: Sparty's comment:

Definition, 'DE-ISM"

rational belief in God: a belief in God based on reason rather than revelation and involving the view that God has set the universe in motion but does not interfere with how it runs. Deism was especially influential in the 17th and 18th centuries.

I think if you told a modern Creationist that he was a Deist, he might slug you in the snoot.

2. Re: Crawford's comment:
Definition : "Sophistry"

a deliberately invalid argument displaying ingenuity in reasoning in the hope of deceiving someone.
